Is that a t56? I see a lot of RTV sealant on a lot of closures so it looks as if your transmission was rebuilt before am I right? Maybe someone dropped on the floor before one time while it was being installed. It might have caused a small crack which eventually gotten larger in time. What do you think? Sorry about what happened too man BTW.

some day huh?Stupid question: What type of T45 did you order? Be sure that it's a Borg Warner and not a Tremec unless the Tremec is set up for a mechanical speed sensor. I made that mistake a couple of months ago. I tried to replace mine with a T45 that came out of a '99 Cobra. Everything fit perfectly but I couldn't connect the speedometer to the transmission because the '99-up V8 Stangs uses a magnetic speed sensor hookup and there is no adapter available. I've done 2 days work for nothing. I had to put my old tranny back in. I'm not sure if you knew this already so that's why I'm posting this.

As bad as it is, I think its probably better that you found it now before the **** thing came apart and screwed up more stuff. Can you imagine getting on it and the shifter falls through the floor... **** dude... I know it sucks but I'm glad you found it...

yea I know...I'm glad that I did, and not on the way to TN, have it fall down, or twist up and shoot through the floor board and hit Eric or something
hahahahahaha
